VENTILATION
Ventilation is extremely important in attics because it ensures the air circulates and never becomes stale. Air almost always contains water vapor which can damage your home if it is not circulating. Problems include warped shingles, warped roof boards, mould and higher energy costs.
For attic ventilation we recommend the Windmaster and TurboBeam products from Edmonds to provide roof space ventilation and enable natural light to enter the attic space.
For llumination of the attic space TurboBeam uses a clear, acrylic turbine head and a highly reflective aluminium throat which enables sunlight to be captured in the attic space.
The sunny attic space improves visibility and creates an environment not favourable to termite infestation.
FLOORING
Attic Group recommends installing flooring to complete you attic storage space. We use battened structural grade fire and vermin resistant tongue and grooved particle board for the majority of our storage solution projects.
ACCESS HATCHES
Attic Group provides hatches for safe access to roofs, walls and ceilings.
They are easy to open with minimum magnetic catches and offer the home owner the chance to capture additional storage space in walls and ceilings.
BALUSTRADES
Attic Living can install a Balustrade to complement your attic ladder giving you additional security and peace of mind when climbing the ladder. They also look great!
INSULATION

Attic Group can install insulating batts at the time of your attic conversion. We use a Polyester Batt which has an energy rating of R3.5.
